The one I always tend to think of is Bubble Bobble , as it was at a dairy queen I went to growing up on occasion and my brother and I would always beg our parents for quarters to play it. Either that or Galaga , as I kept trying to take my friend's dad's high score, he was insanely good at the game ...

This is something I"ve been having fun with recently, Retro Achievements . Basically, it plugs into your emulator and looks at the various states the game is in, and gives you achievements when you do certain things. Be it beat a level, beat a boss with certain conditions, get a certain score, ...

I will always have a soft spot for Enduro Racer as it was my first racing game of sorts I played as a kid, and looking that up apparently we got robbed of 5 tracks when it was localized??? I always thought it was really odd that there were 5 boards you'd play on twice. |:

Not really a horror game, but the creator of frog fractions put out this cute little pico 8 game called Gordy and the Monster Moon which is a short, enjoyable halloweenish game.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one that was very meh on Samus Returns. Especially after AM2R, which felt way, way more fun. Samus Returns just felt. So bad. The shoehorned in counter attack was just incredibly not fun.
