I was considering Debian initially, but the general gist I got last time I looked was "It's the better option when you know what you want/need". The one sore spot is KDE Plasma (not only is it the default recommendation to windows refugees but I'm already familiar due to the steam deck) but I believe I saw some guy install a new DE to mint while making a vid just to drive the "Debian is Debian" point home so my hope is it's easy enough to do with a written guide.
