To be honest I didn't really mean to make him that large. It kinda just happened.

I don't usually start out with a specific resolution in mind unless the art is for a game or something, I just start off in a big canvas and crop it as I go based on vibes.

This is some cool-as-beans art you got there.

Aerofoil

A couple weeks ago I drew my sona with wings.

Worldbuilding

Item BMC-REC-AUX/MBL#0010 "Aerofoil" is an independently developed mobility unit, discovered and logged in

. It provides the wearer with two wing-like 6-DOF orientable thrusters that can be used to change velocity on a dime.

Aerofoil is designed to fire off in quick bursts, allowing for dashes, ground slams, double jumps, and fall damage prevention. Its effect on the wearer's velocity is not impeded by its lack of a physical connection to their body; the wings are bound to the soul using a reverse-engineered version of

the soul. This has the added benefit of the unit not being left at the old body upon respawning.

The unit is powered by ADR from the wearer; this has the benefit of removing the need for refuelling, but extensive usage can fatigue and potentially incapacitate the wearer. However, this is usually not a significant issue as long as it is used in quick bursts as intended.

Testing in an anthroviridian subject has found that with one charged burst Aerofoil was able to reach a speed of 20 m/s (44.75 mph). The test subject requested a glass of water afterwards. Gliding tests were also carried out; gliding is an alternative form of usage that burns ADR at a lower rate and thus can be carried out for longer. With a running start, speeds of 35 m/s (78.30 mph) were reached.

Aesthetically, Aerofoil is designed to resemble a pair of wings. This is also the source of its common name. The original design documents are yet to be fully recovered, but it is thought that the design was influenced by the appearance of Treacherous Apostates.

How to take it off? Good question.

Thank you! Surprisingly, I don't really draw him as much as I do my other characters. I spend much more time thinking about cool mechanical parts to put on him....

I've been working on this for 18 months and it's nowhere near finished.
